The Still Rocking the Chamber 2012 Business Expo will take place at the Carl Perkins Civic Center from 4-7 pm on May 1st. In addition to exhibits from chamber members, the event hopes to convince local business leaders to become members of the chamber.

The next Friendly Franks Flea Market will take place at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park from March 30-April 1. Admission is $3 per person.

The annual celebration of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce will take place at the Carl Grant Events Center at Union University on March 22 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Tickets are $25.

The 19th annual St. Marys Madri Gras Auction will take place at Carl Perkins Civic Center on January 21 beginning at 6:30 pm. This event raised over $90,000 for the school last year.

It was recently announced that Jackson Die Casting will be expanding in 2012 and, as a result, will create 58 more jobs. The company, which produces metal casings for various industries, will be investing $4.5 million in the expansion of the Jackson plant.

The University School of Jackson (USJ) is holding their 41st annual Holiday Mart from November 18-20 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. This event promises to have the largest gathering of merchants in West Tennessee. Admission is $5 in advance and $8 at the door; students pay $2; advance tickets can be picked up at USJ or various BancorpSouth branches in the city.
